Mandy's First Post
I am looking forward to reading different children's books and being able to share that resource with others in my class. I think it would be a helpful tool to learn how other teachers are using certain books in their classroom. I'm sure there will be many ideas and activities that I will gain through this assignment that I will be able to use in my own classroom. The thing I'm a little worried about is using an online textbook and completing each quiz after that chapter. I'm sure once I get used to using the online textbook it will be a neat experience and it seems to have many advantages.

I'm glad that you are open to the new experience even if it feels intimidating at first. A colleague today talked about how adults are technology immigrants - working to learn new techniques and information - while children are technology natives - surrounded with these new literacies from an early age. As immigrants, we have to work hard to stay on top of how our children learn and will learn!
ReplyDeleteNow that I've taken the first few test and used the online textbook I feel better about it..For the first chapter I printed everything off but then decided that didn't help very much and it was easier to read it online and use the search tool. See you in class tonight!
